Jack knife sit ups are a great low-impact exercise for strengthening abdominal muscles. Jack knife sit ups is a really challenging workout, but the basics are easy to master.

Start by laying on the floor/ground, with both feet on the floor.
Place both hands over your head, and raise your feet off the floor at the same time as you raise your hand up towards your toes.
Straighten out both legs and tighten your stomach – this helps engage your abs.
Hold for a few seconds, as long as you can, then lower back to starting position.
